New Happenings

Hi, Everyone.  Sorry its been so long between postings, but there is no excuse so let's move on to some exciting dates that everyone should know about.  First, there is a PABS car wash on Saturday, October 1, beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 1:00pm.  It will be held in the parking lot of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church located at 771 N. Pennsylvania Avenue.  Come out and get your car washed and help support the Morrisville Intermediate/High School Performance Arts.

The second item is the Market Day PIE sale.  Just in time for Thanksgiving,  order some Market Day pies throughout the month of October and a portion of the sales will benefit the Performance Arts.  Look for more information to follow along with the Market Day order form.

The third thing is the PABS raffle basket.  More information to follow.

If you having questions or you just want to help out, stop by the PABS table at all of the varsity home football games.

See ya there!!!

Pie in the face!!

I completely forgot to mention that Moet Dixon won the pie selling contest and at the Thanksgiving Pep Rally, earned his place by hitting Mr Ferrara in the face with a pie.

Way to go, Moet!!!!

Happenings

Hope everyone is well.  I know that I haven't been very active in blogging recently but PABS as well as myself ave been very busy.  Another football season has come and gone and this year's Thanksgiving Game was home.  The weather was definitely different from last year.  We had SNOW!!!.  The snow came at the start of the game and got heavy right at half time.  The pics of the band are awesome.  They will be posted in a few.

On to new business.  This Saturday is Winterfest.  Come out and watch the parade and then visit the school after for some fun things to do and see.  The Elementary Winter concert will take place and Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be there.  PABS will be selling candles and shirts this year also as well as hockey tickets for the Devils game on the 8th.

The marching band, color guard and the middle school cheerleaders will be performing at the Sun Center during the Trenton Devils game against the Elmira Jackals on December 8th.  Tickets are still available through myself and Dr. Scott.  They are $12 a ticket.  Please come out and support the performing arts.

The Winter concert will be taking place on December 16th in the auditorium.  We now have a chorus director and as soon as I can get more info, I will post a profile.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I will talk to everyone soon.

HomeComing

Hey everyone.  Sorry for the delay in updating the blog.  I was really busy last week and away for the weekend.  As we all probably know by now the Dawgs won the game and the Homecoming Court looked beautiful.  Congrats to the King and
Queen.  Scorch from the Trenton Devils made an appearance at the game to promote the Marching Band and Color Guards performance at the hockey game on December 8.  Tickets are available through any band member and PABS.  Please come out and support our Marching Band.  Pictures of Scorch and our very own Bulldog will be seen in Center Ice Magazine in December thanks to Mr. King.  I also posting new pics to the blog.

Enjoy and See everyone soon..

Trenton Devils Hockey

Hey,Everyone...Hope everyone had a good weekend .  Friday was definitely empty without a game.  Homecoming  is this Friday and that mean another game under the lights.  Along with the crowning of the king and queen,  we are going to a have a special guest.  Scorch the mascot for the Trenton Devils will be at the game for the first half.  Now for a  little history on the Devils- Bulldogs relationship.

For the past few years, Dr. Scott has taken the marching  band over to the Sun Center to perform the National Anthem and play during intermissions at a hockey game and for the first time, the color guard are also going.  Usually, each band member is required to sell  one ticket in order to reserve their place.  This year band members are still required to sell one ticker to reserve their spot (Dr. Scott will be sending the forms home with the kids,so please be on the lookout for that), but PABS will also be selling tickets at all of the football games.  You can also purchase tickets through any PABS member or by emailing me directly at Morrisvillepabs@gmail.com.  The tickets are $12.00  each.  PABS will be making $1.00 for every ticket sold.  Please come out and support out band and the Devils.

There is also going to be a raffle during the Thanksgiving Game. Prizes will be listed at the PABS table so you can check those out and raffle tickets are $5.00 each.

Market Day Bonus Buy Days are here again. There will be a Market Day rep at the PTO meeting tomorrow night with samples.  Please support PABS by purchasing some pies.  The child from the elementary school and the middle who sells the most will have the chance to throw a pie in either Mr. Ferrara's or Ms. Ruffing's face at the Thanksgiving game during halftime.

What a busy week we have coming up.  See everyone at the game.

Friday Night's score and a PABS update

Good Morning, everyone.  Sorry about missing last week.  It was my first week of classes and I got a little sidetracked, but not to worry, the Dawgs did indeed add another victory under their belts.  They won the game witha score of 52-22.  Go Dawgs!!!!  Now onto other business..

The Marching band will be performing at a Trenton Devils game on 12/8/10.  It's a Wednesday night but rumor has it that it should be a very physical game because the Devils are playing their rivals, Elmyra.  Ticket are $12 each and they will be available at the football games starting on 10/15.  You can also contact any PABS member or email me at Morrisvillepabs@gmail .com and I can get them to you....Come out and support the band and the color guard who will also be in attendance to host the National Anthem.  I am also in the process of getting the Devils' mascot, Scortch to come out to one of the football games to promote the hockey game.  I am shooting for 10/15, so bring the little ones so they can get see Scortch and our very on Bulldog.

PABS is also putting together some prizes to be raffled off on Thanksgiving at the game.  Stop by the PABS table to see a list of the prizes and keep checking here because once the list is complete, I will be posting it.

Market Day Bonus Days are back with pies for sale.  Please buy some pies and support the Performance Arts programs.  The student who sells the most pies from both the elementary and the middle school level will have the option to throw a pie in the face of either Mr Ferrara or Ms Ruffing.  This will be also be done at the game on Thanksgiving.  The two winning students will also receive 3 guest passes each  to the game.

Speaking of the Thanksgiving game,  PABS is also trying to bring the community together by walking from the school  to the field with the band. We will be continuing to reach out to the alumni of the band, football and any other alumni interested.  If you are, please see us at the PABS table.

Well, that's alot of information.  Enjoy the rest of the week.  Remeber there is no game this Friday...

Friday, 9/24/10

Well it wasn't a good night for the "Dawgs."  Jenkintown came with the intent to win and that they did.  They gave the Bulldogs their first loss of the season 47-14.  Jenkintown also bought their "Pep Band"with them and the Bulldog Marching Band showed them who was boss..  The two bands battle back and forth a couple of times by playing the same song.  The kids in the marching band had a great time and enjoyed themselves.  They sounded great and the half-time show was awesome.

See everyone next week for Friday Night under the Lights.
